Undergraduate Requirements
- Academic Requirements:
To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:
| High grades of above 70% in their 3-year bachelor degree of science, arts or commerce in Bangladesh |
| Completion of a foundation year in the UK |
- English Test:
With Language Pathway:
Students who achieve IELTS 5.5 overall, or UEC English B4 or equivalent will be required to attend an additional English language module (English for Engineers and Scientists) both in semester 1 and 2.
Non-Language Pathway:
Students who achieve IELTS 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in each component, or Grade C in SPM 1119 English (cohort before 2021), SPM CEFR Level B2 or above (cohort from 2021 onwards), Grade C in GCSE English, Grade A in IGCSE English as a Second Language, B3 in UEC English or equivalent.
Computer Science Foundation Year
Students who achieve IELTS 6.5 overall, with minimum 6.0 in each component, or Grade C in SPM 1119 English (cohort before 2021), SPM CEFR Level B2 or above (cohort from 2021 onwards), Grade C in GCSE English, Grade A in IGCSE English as a Second Language, B3 in UEC English or equivalent.
Business Foundation Year
IELTS 5.5 overall, minimum 5.5 in all components, or UEC English B4 or equivalent, or Grade C in SPM 1119 English (cohort before 2021), SPM CEFR Level B2 or above (cohort from 2021 onwards), Grade C in GCSE English, Grade A in IGCSE English as a Second Language or equivalent.
Undergraduate Programmes

Postgraduate Requirements
- Academic Requirements:
| MSc/ MA/ LLM | A relevant masters degree at minimum 70% with a bachelors degree of at least 3 years UK 1st degree equivalent: 3.5; 3.2 depending on awarding institution |
| MSc Engineering | A masters degree at minimum 60% with a bachelors degree of at least 3 years UK 1st degree equivalent: 3.5; 3.2 depending on awarding institution |
- English Test:
International students applying to study towards the MA in Medieval and Renaissance Culture, Eighteenth-century Studies, Creative Writing, English Literary Studies, or Twentieth- and Twenty-first-century Literature need an IELTS average of 7 (or equivalent) to be accepted onto the programme. Your test score needs to have been attained within the past 2 years.
